“Hello Capone”

By Augustine Malizu

Hello, Capone

Backstabbing was one thing I hated most. I mean, you want to kill, why wait until the victim’s back is turned at you? Why not aim at his glabella and watch his frightened eyes beg for mercy before sending him on eternal journey?

‘If you can’t do it before him, don’t do it at his back. If you can’t give your victim the privilege of staring head-on at his death before it hits him, don’t do it.’

That was my mantra as the hitman of the Fraternity and it has never failed me. My next mission wasn’t by the Frat as usual, but by me. Self mission into liberation. The Capone was becoming soft and needed an overthrow. I needed to act fast before war befell and consumed us.

I had spoken with a few trusted members about a particular self mission to be executed tonight. I didn’t give them the specs. I trusted no one, I knew they were my right-hand men—my two allies, we were called “The Three Musketeers”, but this mission was delicate.

I checked my digital watch, 10:45PM was boldly seen. ‘It’s about time,’ I whispered. It’d only take us fifteen minutes to get to the hotel and a minute to get to his hotel room where he used to shag. I set my timer, I was conscious of time during missions. ‘Let’s fall out,’ I commanded.

Sixteen minutes, we were before his hotel room, ‘3, 2, 1,’ I whispered before we kicked the door open. He was shagging in the bedroom, the moans confirmed he was about cumming. We strode in time to watch him collapse on the girl.

‘Hello, Capone,’ I muttered, my revolver levelled at him. Then I heard the cocking of a gun from behind, and the familiar voice;

‘we can’t betray the Frat.’
